13 February 2022
The Brass Foundry gave its first full concert as a symphonic brass and percussion ensemble at St. John's Church, Sutton Road, Watford, Hertfordshire WD17 2QQ.
Since May 2021, St. John's Church has very kindly opened its doors to The Brass Foundry as a rehearsal venue, despite the ongoing COVID pandemic, and as a thank you to the church, the group elected to give its first concert there to support the church organ restoration fund and local community.
The programme included Elgar's magnificent Organ Sonata.
Feel free to listen to this curated Spotify playlist of the original versions of the works in the programme for the concert on 13 February 2022. Below is the recording of the concert featuring arrangements by Edward Solomon of the works in the Spotify playlist.
